Strawberry Glazed in Cognac + Vanilla Icecream
This is a killer – learnt from elax two weeks back. This dessert is about differences – the red and white, the hot and cold, sweet and sour – just brilliant.
- Strawberries
- Cognac (9 Tbsp – suit yourself
- Sugar (depends on taste, i used 3 Tbsp)
- Vanilla ice-cream
#1. Take a flat pan on low heat, add a little water (just sprinkle to wet the pan surface) on it – sprinkle the sugar.
#2. Add the strawberries – 5 mins
#3. Add the cognac (just pour it on top of the strawberries)
#4. Turn the heat to high and bring the mix to slight boil – flame the cognac (bring a lighter close the cognac vapors).
#5. Wait for a minute – till the flame goes down and the strawberries are soft and nice
#6. voila we are done – take the ice cream and add the flamed strawberries from the top. yumm.
